When I was ten years old - and I'm not going to tell you how long ago that was! - I was given my first set of oil paints. I was in heaven. I slogged them around, I made a mess, I had the best time. Then I got a few books, learned how to achieve different effects, learned about light and shape and kept right on painting. I had my first instruction in college, which was when I finally hit on a style that felt right, felt like "my style". A great many of my canvases center on European scenery. It's what inspires me. All my paintings are oil on canvas. Most of my paintings are available for sale. If you're interested in the status of any of the paintings posted here or if you'd like to see more images, please contact me directly.
Several years ago, a friend asked me if I'd ever thought of learning how to tattoo. Well, I hadn't. But, once the suggestion was made, I couldn't get rid of the idea. So I contacted a friend of mine who has been tattooing for years - and is very good at what she does - and asked if she'd consider teaching me the ropes. It is not easy to learn tattooing. Most tattoo artists are hesitant to share their secrets. My friend agreed to teach me.
I love tattooing as much as I love painting with oils. There is a freedom of expression that is simply impossible to describe. Posted here are a few examples of the tattoos I've done. While the pictures are not as good as I would like, they at least give you some idea of what I do and how well I do it.
